The "Alawad Fund," the first crypto fund in Dubai, which is attracting attention as a "sacred place for crypto companies," was launched on March 26 (local time). The royal family of Dubai participated in the event for the first time.
The fund was set up jointly with Sheikh Alawad of Dubai's royal family and Jojo Jiang, chairman of the Youa Group. They said they planned to invest heavily in fostering the crypto industry.
The first fund of "Alawad Fund" will be operated with the aim of investing in virtual assets (virtual currency) and blockchain-based startups, investing in cryptocurrency exchanges, quant investment, and cryptocurrency cultural content, focusing on Bitcoin mining.
Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently been known as a hub for virtual assets (virtual currency) and blockchain-based startups. While attracting foreign talent through friendly government-level policies, many crypto companies, including Binance, are flocking to Dubai which is becoming a "sacred place for crypto companies."
Founded with strong support from the Dubai royal family, the Alawad Fund aims to grow into a famous fund in the blockchain through investment in promising projects with key blockchain partners such as Binance, Bitmain, Huobi, lbank, Bibox, and Polygon.
Sheikh Alawad, chairman of the Dubai Royal Family, said at the Alawad Fund launching ceremony, "Dubai presents the most friendly business environment for blockchain companies, launched the Alawad Fund, Abu Dhabi's first royal crypto fund so that worldwide blockchain companies to become globalized in Dubai. I hope that the slogan "Blockchain is the future of finance and Dubai is the future of blockchain companies" will be widely known around the world by actively investing and supporting promising projects with various partner. "
In a speech at the launching ceremony of the Alawad Fund, Jojo Jiang, co-founder of the Alawad Fund, said, "We will lead the Alawad Fund well with the Dubai royal family, Binance, and Bitmain in Dubai, the sacred place of blockchain companies, and ask for a lot of attention and support from you.”
Meanwhile, Hwang Eun-yeon (Anex) of Youa Korea attended the launching ceremony of the Alawad Fund held at the royal family of Dubai as a Korean representative.

아랍에미리트(UAE)의 두바이가 최근 가상자산(가상화폐)과 블록체인 기반의 스타트업의 허브로 이름을 알리고 있다. 정부 차원의 우호적인 정책을 통해 해외 인재를 끌어들이고 있는 가운데 바이낸스 등 많은 크립토 기업들이 두바이로 몰려, '크립토기업의 성지'로 발돋움하고 있다.
두바이 왕가의 든든한 자원을 등에 얻어 설립된 “Alawad Fund”는 바이낸스, 비트메인, 후오비, 엘뱅크, 비박스, 폴리곤 외 다양한 블록체인 핵심 파트너들과 함께 유망한 프로젝트에 투자를 통해 블록체인 내 유명 펀드로 성장하는 것을 목표로 한다.

Alawad Fund의 공동창업자인 요우아그룹 회장 조조는 (jojo jiang) Alawad Fund 출범식 연설에서 “블록체인 기업의 성지인 두바이에서 두바이 왕실과 바이낸스, 비트메인 등의 메인 파트너들과 함께 Alawad Fund를 잘 이끌어갈 것이며, 많은 관심과 지원을 부탁한다.”고 밝혔다.
한편, 두바이 왕실에서 진행된 Alawad Fund 출범식에는 한국의 요우아 코리아 황은연대표(에이넥스)가 한국인 대표로 참석하였다.
